The Battle of Shatterbridge was the climatic event of the civil war which spawned the Faloran Republic. Veronica Heraklid, leader of the Republican rebels, led her Falorans across the grand bridge towards Jovinium, pursued by the Dominion. She destroyed the city of Halfmark, built on the bridge, and severing Jovinium from the peninsula, in the infamous Battle of Shatterbridge.
