First son of Vandar Sistorian and brother of Kansar Sistorian. Originally the heir, he fled to the Faloran Republic and renamed himself Garrek, where he eventually took command of the military detachment known as the Atoners.
He commanded the Atoners and became a General in his own right during the Eclipse campaign, in which it was revealed that Torval Sistorian had schemed with him and intentionally sent him away, faking a feud, so as to have an inside agent in the Republic. Renal ordered Dureheim of the foreign veterans to kill the Godslayers in the tunnels beneath Black Sun's mansion, and ordered the Republican army to halt and do nothing, contributing to their crushing defeat.
